Why Sarina Glick Chose Capital

4/9/2019  -  As an undergraduate at Taylor University in Indiana, Sarina Glick, L'19, had an opportunity to travel the world. She studied abroad at the University of Oxford in England and at Jerusalem University in Israel. She also traveled to Russia where she volunteered in an orphanage.

After earning her bachelor’s degree in international studies with a concentration in conflict resolution, Sarina returned to Israel as the research consultant for a documentary being filmed on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Throughout her travels, she realized the importance of the legal field, both in the realm of social justice as well as from a business perspective, and determined that studying law would align with many of her interests and talents.

A native of Delaware, Ohio, she chose Capital University Law School for its robust externship program and downtown location, and because of the many successful CapLaw alumni, who she had the privilege of meeting within the Columbus community.

As a law student, she has appreciated the encouraging and supportive faculty and staff, as well as opportunities to be involved in numerous academic and extracurricular opportunities. Her involvement includes serving as a student ambassador, peer advisor, and Law Review staff member and associate board member. She is the American Constitutional Society chapter president and co-founded and is vice president of First Generation Law Students.

In additional to her busy law school and extracurricular schedules, Sarina has clerked at several law firms in the Columbus area, and interned for Judge Jeffrey S. Sutton in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Residing in the Columbus area since enrolling at Capital, Sarina considers the many varied dining experiences, as well as the opportunities and developments that come with the continuous growth of Columbus, to be some of her favorite aspects of living in the city.

After graduation in May and sitting for the Ohio bar exam in July, Sarina will travel overseas again before beginning a new position as associate attorney in the healthcare department of the Columbus office of Barnes & Thornburg, where she currently works as a law clerk.
