Property II

Professor

Professor Cohen

First Assignment

Required Text:  Sprankling & Coletta, Property: A Contemporary Approach (West Academic, Fourth Edition), ISBN: 978-1-63460-650-9 (Hereinafter referred to as “Casebook.) (This is the same book used in Property 1-A & B in the Fall 2020 semester.  If you were enrolled in Property 1-A or I-B with Professor Cohen last semester, you should already own this book).

If you are purchasing the book, note that a fifth edition is available.  To save you money, I am assigning the FOURTH edition, which increases the chances that you can find a used copy.  The fourth edition does cover current law.  Make sure you purchase the fourth edition.

Register for the course TWEN page before the first class.

If you have your Westlaw number, sign-on, look for TWEN and registration for the class is easy from there (It is listed as “Property II A” or “Property II-B”  under my last name.  Make sure you register for the correct section!  In registering, please use an e-mail account that you check daily.  If your e-mail address changes during the term, you must update it on the TWEN page.  Course e-mails will be sent to the e-mail address you provide when you register, and you will be responsible for promptly obtaining any information distributed via e-mail.   You will also be responsible for any information I post in the TWEN page’s discussion sections, including answers to questions posed by students and you will be responsible for the content of any handouts distributed by TWEN.

If you can’t figure out how to register for this class on TWEN, don’t have a Westlaw number, have lost your Westlaw number, etc., please contact the Westlaw Representative in the computer lab or by emailing westlaw@law.capital.edu. (Do not contact me, as it is almost certain I will be unable to help, much as I would like to.)

The TWEN page should be available for registration no later than a week before the first class.
