Located in downtown Columbus, Capital University Law School is in the heart
of the legal community of one of the nation's most populous states. We are within blocks of the Ohio Supreme Court; State Capitol; Ohio Attorney
General's Office; a State Court of Appeals; a Federal District Court; the
Franklin County Court of Common Pleas; and the headquarters of numerous banks,
insurance companies and Fortune 500 corporations. The Law School is within one
mile of approximately 5,000 attorneys.
Columbus residents enjoy a full array of social, cultural and academic
activities. Downtown Columbus is home to theaters hosting major concerts,
Broadway productions, symphony, ballet, opera, and jazz. It is also home to the
Columbus Museum of Art, COSI (a nationally renowned science museum), the
Columbus Zoo & Aquarium and a National Hockey League team - the Columbus
Columbus and the surrounding suburbs are home to approximately
1.6 million people. Central Ohio is known for the diversity of its people, its neighborhoods and
its quality of life.
The Law School is within a mile of four of the city's trendiest
entertainment districts: the Brewery District (nightlife), the Arena District
(NHL Hockey, concerts, dining and nightlife), the Short North (arts, dining and
nightlife), and German Village (cafes and shopping).
All of this, coupled with one of the lowest costs of living among large
cities, makes Columbus one of the best cities to live in the United States.
