Student Organizations

Innovative organizational programs provide a wealth of opportunities to explore various specialties within the legal profession, improve legal skills and develop social relationships.

Affinity student organizations are available for African-American, Hispanic, female, and LGBTQ students and allies. In addition, there are organizations for those interested in law related to environmental law, corporate law, constitutional law, criminal law, and more.  

Students can expand their writing and editing skills through involvement with the Capital University Law Review. Those wishing to hone their skills and test them in competition will want to investigate Capital's various moot court teams.

Student Bar Association (SBA)

The Student Bar Association is the student government organization of the Law School. All students are members of the SBA. The SBA is governed by an Executive Board and representatives from each class in the full-time and part-time divisions. Representatives are elected annually. The SBA is an active partner in governing the school and setting school policy. This organization fosters relationships among students, faculty, and administration, conducts programs, and interacts with student bar organizations of other law schools.

Advisory Council on Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (ACIDE)

Advisory Council on Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity intentionally addresses current and emerging issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion affecting Capital University Law School; advocate for the needs of racial and ethnic minorities; and cultivate an inclusive educational environment for individuals of underrepresented, racial, and ethnic minority backgrounds.
