Applying to the Leaders to Lawyers Program
Step 1: Register with the Law School Admission Council (LSAC)
- Visit the LSAC and create an account.
- Register for the Law School Admission Test (LSAT),
- Register with the Credential Assembly Service (CAS), a clearinghouse for all applicant documents. You must send your undergraduate transcripts, graduate transcripts (if applicable), and letters of recommendation directly to CAS.
Step 2: Recommendations
We require two letters of recommendation. Academic and professional letters of recommendation are preferred.
Step 3: Complete the online application
You must submit a personal statement and professional résumé as a part of your online application. Both of these documents should be uploaded as a part of your online application.
- Be sure to check the box in the application indicating your interest in the Leaders to Lawyers Program.
The Admission Process
We accept applications on a rolling basis from September 1 until July 1. Once your application file is complete, it takes four to six weeks for an admission decision to be rendered.
Applicants can check the status of their applications electronically through Capital’s website. Information on how to access the online status checker will be outlined in your application confirmation letter.
