OSU Class Policy and Procedures

Capital University Law School students may take classes at the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law while attending classes at Capital.

This transfer option is available with the following conditions:

  • The class(es) are not regularly offered at Capital.
  • Students may transfer up to six credits from OSU.
  • There must be available capacity in the class after OSU students enroll.
  • Capital students must receive a “C” or better for the credits to transfer.

Participating students will receive a transcript from OSU, which must be sent to the Capital University Law School Office of Records and Registration.

Please note: The grade you receive from OSU will not transfer and will not be figured into your cumulative grade point average. For a “C” or above, students will receive a “K” credit. You will not receive “K” credit for a grade that falls below a “C.

If you are in your last semester and taking classes at OSU, your transcript must be sent to the CapLaw Records and Registration Office by the end of May in order to graduate and to sit for the bar exam.

Please contact the Office of Records and Registration with questions about taking OSU law courses for credit at Capital.
