Mission Statement

The Office of Diversity & Inclusion supports underrepresented students at Capital University Law School through recruitment efforts, program development, counseling, and advocacy. The Office communicates with alumni from underrepresented groups, and acts as an ambassador from Capital University Law School to communities that have not traditionally produced law students.  We believe that our differences and diverse points of view create not only a better learning environment, but also produces attorneys that are better prepared to compete in an increasingly diverse and globalized community.  The creation of an educational and work environment that is inclusive and rich in diversity is morally right and demonstrably sound from an educational perspective, as statistics show that all students who learn in such an environment directly benefit.

The Office of Diversity & Inclusion is a part of the Department of Student Affairs and works with all students, faculty & staff to raise awareness and appreciation of diversity and promote the benefits of community service.
