Biography

Professor Ferriell has taught at law schools at the University of Illinois, Santa Clara University, Ohio Northern University, the University of San Diego, the Ohio State University, Seattle University, and Capital University. At Capital he teaches Contracts, Bankruptcy, and Commercial Law. He is the author of two law school hornbooks, “Understanding Contracts” (4th ed., 2018) and “Understanding Bankruptcy” (4th ed. 2013, with Edward J. Janger). He serves as one of Ohio’s representatives to the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws (or “Uniform Law Commission”). He also served, from 2013-2016 as President of the Martha's Vineyard Camp Meeting Association, a private religious foundation in Massachusetts.
