    About Our 2020 Recipient, Jennifer A. Adair, L'05

    Jennifer Anne Adair is the EEO Program Manager, Department of Administrative Services for the State of Ohio. She is the newly elected President of the Columbus Board of Education and serves as a Vice-President for the City of Columbus, Recreation and Parks Department’s Commission. She is a proud graduate of Columbus City Centennial High School (1998), Northwestern University (B.A., 2002), and Capital University Law School (J.D., 2005).

    Professionally, Jen has expertise in government policy, law, and human resources. In her current role, she oversees the Diversity & Inclusion efforts for the State of Ohio, including Diversity & Inclusion Strategic Planning, Equal Employment Opportunity Enforcement, Affirmative Action Compliance, and Education Initiatives.

    Jen has served her community in many capacities, including as a Commissioner and Past-Chair of the North Linden Area Commission, Volunteer, Member, and Past Board President of Future Possibilities, Inc., Past-President of the Northwest Civic Association, Past-Member of the Columbus Bar Association’s Board of Governors, Fellow of the African American Leadership Academy, Past-President of the Capital University African-American Law Alumni Board, Past-President of the Capital University Law Alumni Board, and Past-President of the John Mercer Langston Bar Association.

    Jen has been the recipient of many awards including the Martin Luther King, Jr. Image Award, Emerging Leader Award, Anna Mildred Henderson Award for Community Service, Teamwork Award Service Award for Attorneys under 40, and the Capital University Law School Alumni Outstanding Service Award.

    Jen resides in the Columbus with her daughter, Mila.
