Instructions for Online Roster Access

  • The on-line roster provides faculty and assigned faculty secretaries on-line instant access to class rosters for the current or up-coming term. Available features include: total class enrollment, class room assigned, waitlist, and ability to email all students or selected students.

    Please Note 

    • Printed copies of rosters, attendance sheets and seating charts will continue to be distributed the Wednesday before the term begins.
    • Your assigned faculty secretary also has access to this on-line roster and email capability.
    • This online list is real time; students may add/drop courses through the first two weeks of the regular term.

    Accessing Your Online Roster 

    • Begin by accessing Web Advisor 
    • Select the "Log In" link, located on the top right of the window.
    • Enter your username and password (same as Capital email) and click submit.
    • Select the "Faculty" tab located on the left of the window. 
    • Select "Class Roster" under "Faculty Information."
       

    Reviewing Course Information
     

    • Click on the Course you wish to view  
    • The course list includes student name, ID number, email, phone number and credits.  Other columns include:
      • Class Level: what year the student is in law school and program (day or evening).
      • Academic Level:  GL=Graduate Law.
      • Status:  the active enrollment of the student in this course.  Other items that may appear include: drop, withdraw, add, or new.
      • The two options at bottom of student list, reflects students that have dropped and/or waitlisted the course.  They are not part of the roster; checking either of these boxes adds them to the list.
       

    Emailing Students in a Course 

    • Select “E-Mail these Students,” at top of list.
    • Select either "E-Mail All Students Listed" or "E-mail Only Selected Students" and click submit.  
    • Follow the prompts to generate the email through Web Advisor (not Outlook).
