In
September 2010, Eric R. McLoughlin joined the Capital University Law School as
a supervising attorney in its Small Business Clinic. Eric is in charge of developing the Small
Business Clinic program and serves as the supervising attorney on all small business
and nonprofit matters. Prior to joining
Capital, Eric worked as an associate for several local law firms where he
focused his practice on small business, tax, estate planning, and probate
matters.
Eric
is a native of Worthington and attended high school at Linworth
Alternative. He holds a Bachelor of Arts
in Political Science, Summa Cum Laude,
from The Ohio State University and a Juris Doctor, Summa Cum Laude, Order of the
Curia, from Capital
University Law
School.
Eric
is admitted to practice in Ohio and the U.S. District Court for the Southern
District of Ohio (both General and Bankruptcy Divisions). He is a member of the Columbus Bar
Association (Business Tax, Estate and Gift Tax, Probate, and New Lawyers
Committees), the Ohio State Bar Association (New Lawyers and Estate Planning,
Probate and Trust Law Sections), and the American Bar Association. He is also a graduate of the Columbus Bar
Association’s Leadership Academy class of 2008, and recently assisted the
Paralegal Association of Central Ohio and Legal Aid Society of Columbus with
the creation and development of the PACO/LASC Wills Clinic project.
