Study Rooms

  • Study Rooms

    • Study Rooms are available for currently enrolled Capital University Law School students and recent graduates of the Law School studying for the Bar. 
    • Study Rooms are available on a first come, first served basis to individuals or groups. 
    • Law Library policy limits use of a Study Room to 3 hours per student or group per day. 
    • Study Rooms are locked.  Keys may be checked out from the Circulation Desk with a Law School student ID. 
    • Study Room keys may be checked-out for up to three hours and must be returned on or before the end of the reservation loan period. Study Room keys may not be renewed. 
    • If a Study Room's key has not been checked out within the first 10 minutes of the reservation period, the entire reservation is subject to cancellation. 
    • There is a $5.00 fine for every hour the Study Room key is overdue. 
    • Food and tobacco products (including electronic cigarettes) are not permitted in the Study Rooms. Drinks are permitted in authorized containers only. 
    • For questions regarding Study Room policy, please contact the Law Library Reference Librarian at (614) 236-6466, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. 
    • Students violating the Study Room policy will be asked to leave the Study Room and may lose their Study Room privileges for the remainder of the semester, including the final exam period.

    To reserve a study room, take the following steps:

    • Click HERE to reserve a study room. 
    • Click on the desired date on the calendar.
    • Choose a study room and click on the desired available time slots.
    • Once you have chosen your time slots, verify your Booking Details, and click Continue.
    • Fill out the booking form and click Submit my Booking.
    • The screen should now show your desired time slots in red.
    • You will receive a confirmation email.
