    Visiting the Law School

    We invite you to experience Capital University Law School. Visiting the Law School allows you to see for yourself what Capital has to offer. You may register to attend an Open House or we can design an individual visit to meet your needs. Meet with an admission professional, take a tour of our facility, sit-in on a class and meet current law students. Call 614.236.6310 or email us to arrange a time for you to experience Capital Law!

    Applying

    As an additional benefit to a CapLaw Partner, your  $40 application fee is waived! To receive a fee waiver code, email the Office of Admission before submitting your application. 

    Step 1: Register with the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) 

    • Visit LSAC.org and create an account.
    • Register for the Law School Admission Test (LSAT), offered four times a year. We will accept the June 2013 score for Fall 2013 admission. May 7 is the registration deadline for the June exam.
    • Register with the Credential Assembly Service (CAS), a clearing house for all applicant documents. You will send your undergraduate transcripts, graduate transcripts (if applicable), and letters of recommendation to CAS.
    • From the LSAC site you will complete your online application to Capital University Law School.

    Step 2: Selecting Recommenders 

    We require two letters of recommendation, but will accept three. Academic and professional letters of recommendation are preferred.

    Step 3: Complete the online application 

    You must submit a personal statement and professional resume as a part of your online application. Both documents can be uploaded and attached to your online application.
