CapLaw Partners: Financing a Legal Education

  • CapLaw Partner Program Tuition Benefit and Merit Scholarships

The CapLaw Partners Program matches your employer's tuition benefit, dollar for dollar, up to $5,250 annually. You may also qualify for additional merit-based scholarships. For our part-time evening program, scholarships range from $5,000 to $12,000 per year. All applicants are considered for institutional scholarship during the admission process, without filling out a separate application. Scholarship decisions are based primarily on undergraduate academic performance and LSAT scores. Scholarships are renewed each year you meet the renewal criteria. The combined total of your tuition discount and scholarship award shall not exceed the total cost of tuition.

    Types of Financial Assistance

Federal Direct Stafford Loans: These low-interest loans assist with educational expenses and are federally guaranteed, which means borrowers do not need to pass a credit check to receive funding. Maximum award is $20,500 per academic year.

Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loans: Graduate and professional students have the option of borrowing through the Graduate PLUS program to cover any remaining educational expenses. A credit check is required. Interest accrues once loan funds are disbursed. You can begin repaying these loans while in school or defer payment until after graduation if you are enrolled at least half-time.
