Drafting for Estate Planning
For Drafting for Estate Planning, students should prepare a complete will based on the following facts:
Your clients are John and Susan Smith of Columbus, Ohio. They have three adult children, Mark, Mary, and Michael. John and Susan want to leave their respective estates to each other and, at the death of the survivor, equally to their children. John and Susan want the other to act as executor with first Mary and then Mark to be the successor executors. Notwithstanding the above, Susan wants to give her jewelry to Mary.
Students can use any or no resources as they wish. This assignment will not be graded and will not be counted toward the final grade.
Students will be expected to defend the style of their wills (remembering that this is a writing course).
