Register on the course TWEN page before the first class. 

 

Read the entire case file for Fitts v. United States.  An electronic version will be available on TWEN by April 29; Hard copies will be available in the course handout bin outside the fifth-floor mailroom by that date.  This case will be the subject of the briefs and oral arguments in this class. 

 

Begin researching applicable case law on both sides for an appeal of the Fourteenth Circuit decision to the U.S. Supreme Court.   Bring your research to date to the first class.
