Foster Youth Advocacy Clinic - Wickliffe

The first assignment is to: 

• Read Chapters 6 and 29 on Interviewing and Counseling prior to class.   During the first class, you will be asked to interview a young person between the ages of 9-15.  You will receive information about the young person prior to the first class.                     

• You must identify the goal(s) of your interview and your questions must incorporate the following concepts (from Chapter 6 of the textbook): 
  • Strengthening Rapport; 
  • Being Aware of Your own responses; 
  • Active Listening.
