Professionals In Law Next Steps

  • Now that you've decided to consider a Capital University Law School education with the assistance of the CapLaw Professionals in Law Program, what's next?

    Visiting the Law School

We invite you to experience Capital University Law School. Visiting the Law School allows you to see for yourself what Capital has to offer. You may register to attend an Open House or we can design an individual visit to meet your needs. Meet with an admission professional, take a tour of our facility, sit-in on a class and meet current law students. Call 614.236.6310 or email us to arrange a time for you to experience Capital Law!

Step 1: Register with the Law School Admission Council (LSAC)

      • Visit LSAC and create an account.
      • Register for the Law School Admission Test (LSAT), offered four times a year. We will accept the June 2016 score for Fall 2016 admission.
      • Register with the Credential Assembly Service (CAS), a clearing house for all applicant documents. You will send your undergraduate transcripts, graduate transcripts (if applicable), and letters of recommendation to CAS.
      • From the LSAC site you will complete your online application to Capital University Law School.

    Step 2: Selecting Recommenders

We require two letters of recommendation, but will accept three. Academic and professional letters of recommendation are preferred.

Step 3: Complete the online application

You must submit a personal statement and professional resume as a part of your online application. Both documents can be uploaded and attached to your online application.
