Practicing Attorney Information for SDR

  • Practicing attorneys are invited to register to take Summer Dispute Resolution Institute courses in the areas of mediation and dispute resolution. Attorneys may be eligible to receive Ohio CLE credit for these courses under CCLE Regulation 402. Eligible attorneys may receive three hours of CLE credit for each semester hour of a course completed at an ABA-accredited law school. You do not need to take an exam to obtain CLE credit.

To receive CLE credit, you must complete Form 4, Request for Law School Attendance and return it to the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Continuing Legal Education office with any attachments within 30 days after the course has concluded.

All courses are 2 semester hours (with the exception of the Divorce Mediation course) and are therefore eligible for 6 CLE hours under CCLE Regulation 402. Divorce Mediation has already been approved for 40.0 hours of CLE credit.

Cost: $500 per course for practicing attorneys.
