The registration deadline is noon on Friday, March 31, 2017. We need a minimum of 10 paid registrations by that date to proceed with the course. If the minimum is not met, we may cancel the 2017 Refresher Course and refund your registration fee. We will notify you by email of any cancellation by no later than Tuesday, April 4, 2017.
The Paralegal Programs at Capital University Law School host an annual OPEC Refresher Course for those individuals taking the OSBA Paralegal Certification Exam. The dates of the 2017 Refresher Course are Friday, April 7, 2017 from 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm (registration will begin at noon); Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 8:00 am - 5:30 pm; and Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 8:00 am - 5:30 pm. The Refresher Course will have sessions for all core content and all specialty topics covered in the certification exam.
Please check back for a schedule of the Refresher Course sessions.PLEASE NOTE: The Refresher Course, its instructors, and the Paralegal Programs at Capital have no connection with the OSBA Paralegal Certification Exam or the examination process. The sessions provide only an overview of the core content and specialty topics as a refresher for those sitting for the certification exam. More information about the exam and requirements for paralegal certification is available from the Ohio State Bar Association.The cost of the 2017 Refresher Course is $150, which includes (1) attendance at all core content and specialty sessions, (2) online access to course materials, and (3) refreshments provided throughout the course. At least one week before the Refresher Course, we will email you a link to all materials that you may download and/or print. If you would like us to provide you with a copy of the printed materials at the Refresher Course, we will do so for a $30 printing fee payable at or before the beginning of the course. The Refresher Course fee is due at the time of registration or within 5 days before the start of the 2017 Refresher Course. You will not receive access to the materials or be allowed to sit for the course if your registration fee is not timely paid to Capital University Law School.
