Law School To Present 35th Annual Sullivan Lecture November 14
What is the role of the courts in protecting our liberties? The Hon. Jeffrey S. Sutton of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit will address this enduring question in Capital University Law School's 35th Annual John E. Sullivan Lecture Thursday, November 14.
Judge Sutton’s talk, Our 51 Constitutions: The Story of the Compelled-Sterilization Cases
, will focus on the role of state and federal courts in protecting constitutional liberties, as seen through the lens of judicial responses to the eugenics movement, including Buck v. Bell (1927).
The lecture will take place at the Columbus Athletic Club on November 14 at 2:30 pm. For more information or to register, please visit law.capital.edu/Sulllivan
