Jeffrey Hanson Available for Financial Counseling for Graduating Students
Thursday, November 15, Jeffrey Hanson, an expert in financial literacy, borrower education and debt management, will be at the Law School to provide two loan repayment counseling sessions: 11:00 am to12:30 pm and 4:30 to 6:00 pm in Room 242.
One of our goals is to help you better understand your student loan rights and responsibilities, especially as you approach graduation. This is a good opportunity to find out whether the Income-Based Repayment Option is best for you, and how the Loan Forgiveness Program works.
Also, as a condition of graduation, students who have borrowed federal loans to finance their legal education are required to complete exit counseling. Thursday, November 15, at 11:00 am – 12:30 pm or 4:30 – 6:00 pm in Room 242. are the only opportunities this academic year to hear Dr. Hanson’s presentation live and in-person.
In addition, Dr. Hanson will be available for a limited number of one-on-one, 30-minute advising appointments to help you develop an individualized plan for loan repayment. These sessions are free of charge; however, space is limited. If you're interested in meeting individually with Dr. Hanson, stop by the Law School Financial Aid Office to sign-up for a time.
