CapLaw Teams find Success in Competition on Child Welfare & Adoption

Capital had two teams compete in the National Moot Court Competition in Child Welfare and Adoption Law: 

Team 1 comprised of Jeffrey Devereaux, Keri Reeves, and Catherine Worrell, supported by coaches Emily Smith and Alex Certo, and fellow Eric Boomershine; and Team 7, comprised of Becca Alexander, Taylor Nolan, and Nicole Van Gundy, supported by coach Haley McDaniel and fellow Sarah Herman.

Team 1 was knocked out in the quarterfinals by a team from Cleveland-Marshall.  Team 7 made it to the semi-finals before being knocked out by Southern Illinois.  

Team 7 also won the best brief overall in this competition.  Becca Alexander also took home the award for the second-best oral advocate.
