CapLaw Competes in NBLSA Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition

Milas Stevens (2L) and Mercedes Sieg (2L) participated in the Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition. The competition took place in Chicago, focusing on civil rights and constitutional law. The team argued the petitioner and respondent sides of the issues, once each, in the preliminary rounds and advanced all the way to the quarterfinals before being eliminated. 

The team was assisted by their coaches Emmanuel Olawale, L’ 05, and Felice Harris, L’95, and 1L fellow, Manuel (Chase) Foggie.
