  • National Moot Court Competition in Child Welfare & Adoption Law 

    The National Center for Adoption Law & Policy’s annual Adoption & Child Welfare Moot Court Competition is the only national moot court competition in the area of child welfare and adoption law.     Summer Adoption Law Institute 

    The Summer Adoption Law Institute is a two-credit, intensive week-long course offered in conjunction with Capital University Law School. This unique course offers practicing attorneys the opportunity to join law students from across the country in exploring issues surrounding adoption from both academic and practitioner perspectives.     Interdisciplinary Child Welfare Institute  

    The Interdisciplinary Child Welfare Institute is a two-credit, intensive week-long course that provides law and graduate level social work students with a mutual understanding of the legal and sociological principles central to child welfare practice. Offered in conjunction with Capital University Law School, ICWI is one of the few interdisciplinary child welfare courses in the nation. Click here to learn more about this opportunity. 

    Adoption, Child Welfare & Juvenile Law Fellowships   

    NCALP offers two fellowships to incoming, first year Capital University Law School students who are interested in pursuing a career in adoption, child welfare, and/or juvenile law. Both the Felicia Beth Nekritz Juvenile Law Fellowship and the Adoption & Child Welfare Law Fellowship provide fellows with high-quality educational and experiential training, as well as financial benefits, in exchange for a commitment to spend at least the first two years of their career working in a public interest position in one of these areas.
