Thomas L. Bailey, Jr.

Tom Bailey is a Virginia Tech graduate with a B.S. degree in Public Administration. He had an initial career which spanned over 30 years in the government and business sectors. His primary focus was planning information system projects and managing the teams required to implement them. Following retirement, Tom obtained a Post-Baccalaureate certificate in Paralegal studies from Columbus State Community College and subsequently worked part-time in the area of civil litigation. He completed the Capital University Law School mediation certificate program in 2008 and joined with others to form Capital Mediation Associates, LLC. Tom has been active in the Franklin County Municipal Court mediation program. He recently assisted in planning and implementing the Delaware Municipal Court’s mediation program where he mediates frequently. Tom also mediates property foreclosure cases for the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas.

J. Christopher Scott

 After graduating from Capital University Law School’s Mediation and Dispute Resolution Certificate Program, J. Christopher Scott founded and became the principal of Capital Mediation Associates, LLC.  In addition to this, Scott has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry.  Throughout his career, Scott has held several executive employment positions in various companies.  He has also acted as a chairperson and board advisory member for a number of community organizations, including the Community Improvement Corporation of Upper Arlington and the Friendship Village of Dublin.  Scott holds degrees from Kenyon College and the University of Pennsylvania; this includes a Masters of Business Administration from the Wharton School.  Notably, Scott is approved as an adjunct faculty member at the Ohio Dominican University and the Methodist Theological School in Ohio. Currently, Scott teaches in the Ohio Dominican graduate MBA/MSM program.

Paula Daniel

Paula Daniel has extensive experience in advertising sales and has previously owned her own small business. In addition to this, Daniel also has experience in real estate and is currently the president of Tres Management, a corporation which owns and manages Qdoba Mexican Grill. Notably, Daniel was a member of the inaugural class in Capital University Law School’s Mediation and Dispute Resolution Certificate Program. After completing the Certificate Program, Daniel became a partner in Capital Mediation Associates. Daniel mediates cases in Domestic Relations Mediation at the Franklin County Court where she deals with juvenile victim-offender disputes, divorce mediation, shared parenting scheduling and access visitation issues, among others. Her passion for mediation is rooted in the family arena, which Daniel firmly believes can be positively impacted by mediation and dispute resolution programs. Daniel, who is a proud Ohio State graduate and long-time resident of Columbus, Ohio, is also the mother of three children.

Sandra L. DeBlanc

Sandra DeBlanc’s role in various managerial positions throughout her career has offered her ample experience in understanding workplace conflicts. Further, DeBlanc has over 30 years of experience in managing and handling disputes between consumers and businesses. Thus, Capital University Law School ’s Mediation and Dispute Resolution Certificate Program was a natural step for DeBlanc. After attending the program , DeBlanc became a partner in Capital Mediation Associates and has become actively involved in Franklin County Courts’ Dispute Resolution Programs and now regularly volunteers her time in support of a variety of court mediation programs. Such programs include Small Claims and Eviction Courts as well as Magistrate and Judge Referred cases. DeBlanc is also actively involved in Domestic Relations and Juvenile Victim Offender Mediations. In addition to her Mediation and Dispute Resolution Certificate, DeBlanc holds a BS in psychology and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Southwestern Louisiana.
