Legal Nurse Consultant Program Admissions

  • The deadline for submitting your application for the 2018 LNC Program has been extended to December 13, 2017.  If you apply, we will waive the application fee.  

     Admission Requirements for Registered Nurses:

    1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution;
    2. Valid R.N. license; and
    3. 5000 hours of clinical experience, preferably in a relevant area.

    Admission Procedures

    Applicants for the LNC Program must complete an online application and submit the following information:

    1. Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions (even if a degree was not completed);
    2. Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV);
    3. Two professional references and contact information;
    4. Personal statement (space provided in the online application);
    5. A $30 application fee;
    6. Copy of your valid R.N. license; and
    7. Statement about your 5000 hours of clinical experience.

    Once an applicant submits all required application materials, the Director of Paralegal Programs may schedule a phone interview with the applicant. All completed applications are reviewed by the program director and admission decisions are made on a rolling basis for both the November and May starting dates.

    Transfer of credits: A student may ask to transfer up to a maximum of 6 credits into the LNC Program from an accredited college or university and program approved by the American Bar Association. The Director of Paralegal Programs has the direction to accept the transferred credits into the LNC Program.

    Please note: We must have a minimum of three students admitted into the program and committed to registering for classes in order to move forward with each new cohort.
