Every donor counts! Be a part of the Capital University Law School’s future by joining a Capital University Law School giving society. Your membership in any Capital Law giving society may include your spouse and is renewable annually (memberships follow the fiscal year, July 1 – June 30). To join, contact us.
Donor Society
An annual gift of less than $1,000 qualifies you for membership in the Donor Society. Gifts made every year at this level compose the foundation of annual giving. This society honors these donors whose support is vital to the law school’s efforts to distinguish itself. Benefits include inclusion in the Honor Roll of Donors. The Donor Society giving levels are:
- Donors Club: Less than $100
- Associate: $100 - $249
- Junior Partner: $250 - $499
- Partner: $500 - $999
Dean’s Circle
With an annual gift of $1,000 or more, you are a member of the Dean’s Circle, Capital University Law School’s premier annual giving club. The recognition societies of the Dean’s circle are named in honor of those who served as permanent dean’s during the Law School’s first 100 years. Members receive invitation to special Capital University Law School events and are recognized in the Honor Roll of Donors. The Dean’s Circle giving levels are:
- Dean John W. McCormac Society: $50,000
- Dean John Elbert Sater Society: $25,000 - $49,999
- Dean Rodney K. Smith Society: $10,000 - $24,999
- Dean Waymon B. McLeskey Society: $5,000 - $9,999
- Dean John E. Sullivan Society: $2,500 - $4,999
- 1903 Dean William Dustin Corn Founders Society: $1,903 - $2,499
- Dean’s Circle: $1,000 - $1,902
- - Gold Society (Graduates of the Last Decade): $500 - $999

Dean’s Council
The Dean’s Council was founded in 1983 to formally recognize and honor Capital University Law School’s most generous benefactors: those with lifetime gifts of $50,000 and above. The recognition societies of the Dean’s Council are named in honor of those who served as permanent deans during the Law School’s first 100 years. These members distinguish themselves as leaders through their exceptional cumulative generosity and permanently recognizes these principals who have contributed to the vitality and growth of the Law School to what it is today.
Membership in the Dean’s Council is available to individuals, corporations, law firms, foundations, and organizations. The Dean’s Council recognizes distinguished donors at the following levels:
- Dean Ralph H. Klapp Society: $2,500,000 +
- Dean Josiah H. Blackmore II Society: $1,000 - $2,499,999
- Dean Steven C. Bahls Society: $500,000 - $999,999
- Dean Bert Wayne Gearheart Society: $250,000 - $499,999
- Dean Stanley A. Samad Society: $100,000 - $249,999
- Dean Robert E. Goostree Society: $50,000 - $99,999
- Dean Charles R. Frankham Society: $25,000 - $49,999
- Dean Orvill Cain Snyder Society: $10,000 - $24,999
