Mr Shroyer is a trial lawyer with Colley Shroyer Abraham where his practice is limited to medical negligence and personal injury. He was an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio form 1982-89 where he prosecuted violations of federal crimes including drug conspiracies, political corruption and organized crime. He served as an Assistant County Prosecutor upon graduation from 1980-82. He is a past Ohio President of the American Board of Trial Advocates, an organization dedicated to the preservation of right to a civil jury trial. He was appointed to the Judicial Screening Committee for Federal appointments to the bench in the Northern District in 2010. He served on the Ohio Supreme Court Rule Committee form 1994 to 1998. Mr Shroyer lectures regularly on issues involving trial advocacy. He has served as an adjunct professor at Capital University since 1986 where he teaches Trial Advocacy. He has also taught at the United States Attorney General's Advocacy Institute in Washington DC and at the FBI New Agents Training in Quantico Virginia. He has tried over 150 civil and criminal jury trials to verdict. verdicts. He has taught Trial Advocacy since 1986. Mr. Shroyer is married to Judge Susan Brown who serves as a Judge on the 10th District Court of Appeals. They have one son, Tyler.
