Evelyn brings 20 years of legal experience to Capital University Law School, and is currently the Associate General Counsel of DHL/Exel Inc. Having joined Exel in 2012, Evelyn manages the legal affairs for the Consumer, Life Sciences & Healthcare, and Chemical/Energy business units, and is a member of Exel’s Diversity Steering Committee. Evelyn has engaged in private and government practice, and has also served as counsel to Metter-Toledo and Volkswagen Group of America. She earned her B.A. from Michigan State University and her law degree from MSU’s College of Law. Evelyn volunteers and/or serves on several non-profit boards and in Columbus, Ohio. She is also a founding member of the United Way of Central Ohio’s Women’s Leadership Council. Evelyn‘s honors include the 2014 African-American Leadership Academy Fellowship (2014), MSU College of Law’s Dent-Murphy Trailblazer Award (2012), Columbus Business-First’s Top Corporate Counsel Award – Mentor/Coach (2012) and the National Diversity Council’s Legal Champion of Diversity – Ohio Award (2014). Evelyn resides in Westerville, Ohio with husband, Jason, and their two daughters, Mikaili and Tori.
