Biography
Professor Ferriell joined the Capital faculty in 1987. He teaches Contracts, Secured Transactions, Business Bankruptcy, & Consumer Bankruptcy. Before coming to Capital, Professor Ferriell was a Professor of Law at Ohio Northern University. He has been a Visiting Professor at Santa Clara, San Diego, Seattle University, and Ohio State; and a law teaching fellow at Illinois. His areas of research are Contracts, Bankruptcy, and the Uniform Commercial Code. He is the co-author of two law school hornbooks: “Understanding Contracts” (2d ed., 2010) and “Understanding Bankruptcy” (2d ed. 2007, with Edward J. Janger). He serves as of Ohio’s representatives to the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws (or "Uniform Law Commisssion")
