Opportunity Lies WithinWelcome to Capital University Law School! At Capital, we believe that opportunity lies within. These are three simple words, but at Capital University Law School, they convey a great deal. We believe opportunity lies within our students, our faculty, our classrooms, and our alumni. We believe that opportunity lies within the real-world experiences our students gain from externships, legal clinic work, pro bono service and other experiential learning.
Most importantly, we believe opportunity lies within YOU. The opportunity to make a difference in the world through the unique skills and knowledge you gain with a legal education lies within you. The opportunity to lead a successful and rewarding career as a lawyer and a leader lies within you.
Capital offers the tools necessary to recognize the opportunities within you and to develop them to their full potential.

Capital also provides students with robust opportunities for experiential learning such as our extensive externship program, our pro bono honors program, our litigation clinic and our unique Foster Youth Advocacy Clinic. Indeed, National Jurist Magazine named Capital to its first honor roll for law schools that deliver practical training.

Kemp, former Director of the State Department of Insurance Mary Jo Hudson, and current Deputy Executive Director of the Ohio Casio Control Commission John Barron, all served on our adjunct faculty. First and foremost, however, our all are faculty members are teachers who are devoted to your education. They are masters at integrating theory and practice.
