Allen L. Rutz, L'98 , has been included on the 2013 Best Lawyers in America list in the area of Construction Law. 

Michael J. Settineri, L'01  has been included on the 2013 Best Lawyers in America list in the area of Energy Law. 

Gordon Evans II, L'01 , an attorney at The Donohey Law Firm, won the largest amateur boxing tournament in the country, which took place in Kansas City, Missouri.  He competed in the masters heavyweight division in the 35 years and above age group.  This was his second title in the past three years. 

Paulette Ivan, L'94 , has been included on the 2013 Best Lawyers in America list in the aread of Workers' Compensation Law (Employers).

Jud Scheaf, L'88,  and two colleagues have formed Welin OShaughnessy & Scheaf LLC in the Warehouse District in downtown Columbus. 

Lisa Eschleman, L'87 , has been named the new executive director for Ohio Center for Law Related Education.

Theodore A. Bogss , L'86 , has been included in the 2013 Best Lawyers in America list in the areas of Environmental Law and Litigation - Environmental.

Paul Joseph Coval, L'79, has been included on the 2013 Best Lawyers in America list.  Paul's practice areas are Commercial Litigation and Litigation - Environmental.  

Michael Romanello, L'74, has been included on the 2013 Best Lawyers in America list in the areas of Medical Malpractice Law (Defendants) and Personal Injury Litigation (Defendants).  

John "Jay" C. Vorys, L'80, has been included on the 2013 Best Lawyers in America list.  Jay's practice areas are Banking and Finance Law, Corporate Law.  

Gerald Ferguson, L'79, has been included on the 2013 Best Lawyers in America list in the area of Litigation - Intellectual Property.

Ulmer & Berne LLP has announced that Bradley D. Kaplan , L'86 , a partner who splits his time between the firm's Cincinnati and Chicago offices, has been elected Chairman of the World Services Group.  The inauguration took place at the World Services Group Annual Meeting Sept. 7 in London, England.  .

Laurin Mottle, L'11, director of HomeCorps was featured on Boston.com for her work with homeowners. Mottle credits her experience with the Foreclosure Mediation Preparation Project at Capital University Law School with helping her launch her work in this field.

Glen Ackerman, L'98, has announced that Ackerman Brown PLLC was recognized by Washington Business Journal as one of the top 50 best places to work in the greater Washington, D.C. area. Ackerman is the Managing Partner of Ackerman Brown PLLC.
