Dan Kobil 90 120  Kudos and much appreciation to Professors Peggy Cordray and Dan Kobil, who have agreed to accept the roles of co-directors of the Law School’s Academic Success Program. As we all know, ASP is critical to the success of so many of our students, and combining Peggy and Dan’s mutual experience and proven track records will ensure the program continues to be highly effective.

Patricia Fitzpatrick 96 x 143  Congratulations to Amy Ooten and Patricia Fitzpatrick for receiving Culture of Innovation awards. Amy’s award of $350 is for proposals to save money on printing and paper at the Law School. Patricia Fitzpatrick received $250 for recommendations on the disposal of surplus material.

These awards, made possible by a generous grant from a Capital alumnus, recognize innovative ideas for cost savings or improvements to the life or mission of Law School, and which are outside of or go above and beyond the daily responsibilities of the person making the recommendation.

Mary Nienaber  Congrats to Mary Nienaber on her recent selection to serve in the newly combined position of Assistant Director of the Office of Professional Development and Pro Bono Coordinator.

Kudos to all the members of the faculty and administration who have put so much effort into the task forces’ research and idea development associated with the Law School’s strategic plan priorities. One terrific example is the work of the Bar Passage Task Force, which recently presented its detailed research findings and recommendations to the Law School in two brown bag lunch presentations.

Kudos to the good folks from NCALP for planning and hosting their annual wine tasting in October. Those in attendance praised an excellent event, with wine, a silent auction, great entertainment and food – all raising money for a great cause.

Send us your kudos for the next CapLaw Connections.
