Capital University Law School is proud of its track record in this fundamental benchmark of success. The exam is given twice per year in February and July. The majority of graduates take the Ohio Bar Exam and in July.
In October 2014, the Supreme Court of Ohio released the results of the July 2014 Ohio Bar Exam, marking the ninth year in a row that our graduates’ performance on the July exam has exceeded the statewide average.

The Five-Year Bar Passage Rate Capital’s five-year average for first-time takers on the Ohio bar exam is 87.81 percent; the average for first-time takers from all nine Ohio law schools for the last five years (2010-2014) is 85.99 percent. Capital has the highest passage among private law schools in Ohio among first-time test takers during the past five years and is third in the state overall.
