Applying to the Leaders to Lawyers Program

  • For applicants to the Leaders to Lawyers Program, the $40 application fee is waived!

    Step 1: Register with the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) 

    • Visit LSAC.org and create an account.
    • Register for the Law School Admission Test (LSAT), offered every February, June, October and December.
    • Register with the Credential Assembly Service (CAS), a clearing house for all applicant documents. You must send your undergraduate transcripts, graduate transcripts (if applicable) and letters of recommendation directly to CAS.

    Step 2: Recommendations
    We require two letters of recommendation. Academic and professional letters of recommendation are preferred.

    Step 3: Complete the online application
    You must submit a personal statement and professional résumé as a part of your online application. Both of these documents should be uploaded as a part of your online application. 

    • The application fee is waived automatically until February 1.  If you are applying after February 1, please contact Capital’s Office of Admission to receive a fee waiver code before submitting your application. 

    The Admission Process

    We accept applications on a rolling basis from September 1 until August 1. Once your application file is complete, it takes three to four weeks for an admission decision to be rendered.

    Applicants can check the status of their applications electronically through Capital’s website. Information on how to access the online status checker will be outlined in your application confirmation letter.
