Capital Law's American Civil Liberties Union ("ACLU") chapter seeks to:
- Aid in maintaining and extending constitutional and other fundamental rights, liberties, privileges, and immunities.
- Take all legitimate actions in furtherance of its objective without political partisanship.
- Promote open dialogue between the students, staff and faculty in order to educate the community about the Bill of Rights and legal issues related to the protection of fundamental civil liberties.

On April 18, 2013, ACLU hosted Professor Dan Tokaji who discussed "The Future of the Right to Vote."
On April 11, 2013, ACLU co-presented the Ohio Innocence Tour with panelists Joe D'Ambrosio, Derrick Jamison and Dale Johnston.
